(I had some troubles blogging this post last night, let's hope it works today!) T minus 1 day..... Our family is taking a 10 day "real food" challenge. We are using 100daysofrealfood.com as our guide/resource. Our plan is to eliminate all processed foods, high fructose syrup and "fast foods" for 10 days. We are doing this to see if we feel any different (healthier?!) but also to learn more about what we eat, how it affects our bodies and what the long term affects can be of eating too many processed foods. I also plan to use this as a 4H project this year at the county fair.
We made our big trip to the grocery store for the first week of "supplies." Our first homemade batch of granola smells delish! We were in a hurry tonight so grabbed McDonalds for our last "fast food meal." We all had tummy aches and are ready for our real food challenge! Keep in mind, we are not food experts by any means but just want to improve our eating habits to make better food choices. I have two little brothers (one has a terrible sweet tooth). We hope making this change now will forever change how they view healthy vs unhealthy food choices.
