homemade granola! Easy to make, simple ingredients. Needs to bake for 70 minutes, smelled delish!

YUM YUM YUM!

I have great plans for the 5 bags of white flour we had in our pantry! (will post later!)  Why so many bags? We have NO IDEA!

Let's give this a try... whole wheat flour! A lot of recipes on the 100 days of real food blog call for this staple ingredient.

Random...I'm holding the moon!

Good-bye sugar syrup

100% pure maple syrup... excited to try it! This was a little spendy...$7.00 for this jar!

Trey (sweet tooth brother) helping to clean our the pantry.

Good bye!

No more white flour tortillas... we replaced them with whole wheat tortillas.
Day one update.... we thought we could just "ignore" the no-no items in the pantry, but the boys can't!  We had to pack up the fruit snacks, granola bars (planning to make our own this week), sugared cereals, boxed cake and brownie mixes, etc.  Trey was super excited to find the LARA Bars recommended on the  100 days of real food blog. When it is okay to eat a bar that reads "chocolate chip cookie dough" Trey is a happy kid! I have to admit the LaraBar is pretty good... it is the "original fruit & nut food bar." It is also gluten free and made from 100% "real food."  We live in a rural area in Southern Minnesota. The closest large grocery store is 26 miles away.  We did not know if this would present a challenge in finding some of our food but we lucked out... our local Hyvee just remodeled and has a whole/natural/gluten-free area where we found our new favorite Lara Bar snacks!
